The Gecko XIX® material was developed for pole dancing, among other things, but also for all sports that require a breathable, flexible material that also offers support.
Gecko Grip ™ Apparel offers grip but you shouldn't just rely on it 100%. Hands and alternate grip points such as hips, armpits, etc. should be used at all times.
Consumers who use Gecko Grip™ Apparel do so at their own risk and are personally responsible for any safety precautions that should be in place. When pole dancing, use safety mats and "spotters" (a trained professional pole dance instructor who provides physical support) to ensure the movements are performed safely and correctly. CXIX LTD (T/A Creatures of XIX®) and Polestore (Isabella Casensky) accept no responsibility for misuse and abuse of Gecko Grip™ Apparel that results in injury.
Gecko Grip Security
On rare occasions, friction burns similar to those from Aerial Silk can occur. Check your skin regularly for such friction burns the first time you wear them. This usually happens when the garment doesn't fit properly on all body parts/legs. For example, if leggings fit well at the top but are slightly looser with proportionally smaller calves, the fabric will tend to move and rub in that area - especially when pressed against a bodyweight bar.
Do not use Gecko Grip if you notice any signs of friction, redness, pain, or other signs of a friction burn, however minimal. Please note that Creatures of XIX has over tested these leggings and the majority of people will have no issues.
DOS
DONT's
Important note: Pole dance generates a high level of abrasion on the dancer's skin and of course on the clothing as well. Over time, the grip of Gecko Grip products will peel off due to natural wear and tear in high wear areas. This is completely normal and cannot be complained about.
